Screen Mode Settings

When using screen mode, you are presented with the following options. For any other mode, their settings are covered in: Retail; Automotive; and API Based Attention Sensing.

AThe border distance parameters are:
Camera Location: on which side of the screen the camera has been placed. This can be
set to top, bottom, left or right. The other parameters are defined according to this

● Camera Flipped: flag for indicating that the camera is currently capturing an upside-
down view of the subject.

Distance along border: this specifies the distance in cm along the considered border
between its left (top/bottom settings) or upper (left/right) corner, and where the camera
is positioned. This distance can be negative. The Set distance along border half-way option
allows to position the camera equidistant to both corners of the considered border.

Margin from screen border: distance of the camera to the considered border line in cm.
Positive values indicate that the camera is in the outer border direction relative to the
screen rectangle, whereas negative values indicate that the camera is in the inner border

Margin above screen: distance in cm between the camera and the screen, in the camera
projecting direction. Positive values indicate that the camera is in front of the screen,
negative values that the camera is behind the screen.

Rotation parameters:
Tilt, pan: the tilt angle refers to the screen angle which laptop lids usually allow the
users to control;, positive values refer to a “more open” screen, negative values refer to a
“more closed” screen. The pan angle indicates a “left-right rotation”, as in the monitor’s
support surface is never separated from its base; positive values indicate that the base is
moved counter-clockwise, negative values indicate that the base is moved clockwise.

Screen width, height (px) and diagonal (in): hardware specifications.

Note: The camera referential origin is positioned on the RGB sensor of the 3D camera and is,
therefore, dependent on hardware specifications of the specific model being used.
